Some of the Best: Bay Areas 4th of July Events

Schmitt Heating & Air Conditioning has witnessed a lot of 4th of July celebrations over the years. What doesn’t change about Independence Day is the people celebrating and our wish for you to have a happy and safe holiday! We’ve put together a short list of some fun things to do around the Bay Area. By no means is this a complete list but it should help you find something to do this weekend.

Do something a little different this year and go on a cruise! Music, dancing, cocktails, and good food abound on these special event cruises. Watch all the fireworks displays in the San Francisco Bay area from one of the best viewing points in the city – on the water. Depart from Pier 41, Tiburon, or Angel Island, all in time to catch the best fireworks in the City.

Fisherman’s Wharf

Fisherman’s Wharf is celebrating Independence Day with live music and fireworks. The fireworks begin at 9:30 and can be viewed from Aquatic Park, PIER 39 or Ghiradelli Square.

Alameda Mayor’s Fourth of July Parade

The Alameda Parade is one of the longest and most beloved in the nation. The parade will start at the intersection of Lincoln and Park St in Alameda. Before the parade is a race that begins at 9 AM and the parade begins at 10 AM after the race is complete. Fireworks are scheduled for later that evening.

4th of July at Berkeley Marina

Come out to the marina and celebrate Independence day with an event that’s fun for the whole family. Live music, arts and crafts, dragon boat rowing, and much more, this is an event the whole family can enjoy. Event begins Monday at 12 PM and goes until 10 PM, ending with fireworks.

Fourth of July Dinner & Fireworks Cruise

Looking for something maybe a little different that the usual parade, food vendors, and fireworks? Come take a cruise on the Cabernet Sauvignon. Board a luxury yach for dancing, dinner and views of San Francisco’s fireworks. Cruise goes from 6 PM until 11 PM.

8th Annual Oakland Symphony Independence Eve Celebration

The Oakland Symphony puts on a heck of a show every year. This is the 8th year participating in the show and they’ve really gotten it nailed down. At 5 PM the doors open and paid parking is available. Beginning at 6:30 the doors open and the Youth Orchestra will play. At 8 PM the Oakland Orchestra plays until 9:15 when the fireworks start.

Admission is free.

Celebrate July 4th Onboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet

Come aboard a vessel that fought for our right to remain free, the USS Hornet. Event begins at 1 PM and goes until ten PM. Family activities are available from 3 PM until 9:15 PM, when the fireworks start. Throughout the day enjoy live music, entertainment, interactive games, ship exploration, and a jump house. At 9:15 when the fireworks being, you’ll be in a perfect spot for a commanding view.
